The Big Event AUCTION IS OPEN!
We are very excited to announce the 8th Annual Big Event, a celebration of the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation! The Hook, Line and Sinker: Catch and Release Generosity theme will be one you won’t want to miss! We are motoring forward to plan an amazing Big (un)Event on Saturday, February 6th, 2021. This first-time virtual event will look different, but our commitment to the cause is as strong as ever and we have some very creative plans bobbing up! BPSF exists to support the Brainerd Public Schools in various ways including scholarships and providing 4A Grants to staff and coaches. The 4A Grants cover academics, activities, arts and athletics. The MISSION of the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation is to enhance opportunities for quality academics, art, activities and athletics (4As) for the students of the Brainerd Public School District. The VISION of the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation is for the young people of the Brainerd Lakes Area to have the finest educational opportunities possible to enable all individuals to reach their fullest potential as learners, participants, citizens, artists, athletes and contributors to our community and the whole of society.
Help us catch our limit by becoming a Big Event sponsor or auction contributor. Your commitment will allow us to net-in precious funds for 4A Grants, our annual “Dream Big” project, and other BPSF programs. Class Funds – Scholarship or 4A Grants
The classes of 1945, 1946, 1954, 1967, 1969, 1974 and 1976 each have one in place. SO EXCITING!
How does this work? The Brainerd Public Schools Foundation (BPSF) has endowments established for this purpose. The process is fairly simple. As a class you choose your desired intention and establish a fund agreement. Currently, our two fund options are: Scholarship Funds or start a 4A Grant Funds. Scholarships are awarded annually in May at our Senior Recognition Night to graduating seniors. 4A Grants are designed to support the Arts, Academics, Athletics and Activities for the students of the Brainerd Public Schools. Brainerd Public Schools staff are encouraged to apply for funds to carry-out a unique or innovative program/project they want to facilitate that general operating dollars simply cannot support. 4A grants are awarded to school district staff and coaches in December of each year.
